Description

1938 marked the beginning of a five year run for Chevrolet as the number one selling car in America, interrupted only by World War ll.

The Master Cabriolet was the only convertible in the Chevrolet line for 1938. It was also one of the last two models, along with the Sports Coupe, to have a standard rumble seat. Higher maximum speeds made sitting in a rumble seat a hair raising experience.

Only minor restyling was done for 1938 including a two-piece horizontal-bar grille and enlarged hood louvers. The chrome spare tire cover was standard and white-wall tires were optional.

There were 2787 of these produced at the high asking price of $755.
