(Trunk Set-Up 12:00-2:00pm, Trunk-or-Treat 2:00-4:00pm)
Rain or shine…Enjoy a unique way to trick-or-treat! Our LeMay Halloween Trunk-or-Treat provides a safe environment for families to enjoy an inexpensive afternoon of Halloween fun in a neat atmosphere! Costumed children (age 12 & under) trick-or-treat outdoors by going from car trunk to car trunk to get their bag filled with goodies. Families, individuals or groups host and decorate a collector car, motorcycle, or hearse (or regular driver cars are welcome, too!) and provide packaged candy to be given out to the children at the event. There is no charge to participate – the more the merrier!
Ghouls, goblins and ghosts of all ages will enjoy this fun activity, so come out and join us for some freaky fun. This year’s “spooktacular” highlights include:
* Prizes for the best-decorated trunks
* Costume Awards (special prize for car-related costumes)
Make “Trunk-or-Treating” your annual Halloween family tradition!
Visiting Tip: All visitors dressed in costume on this day will receive HALF-OFF admission to see the indoor museum collection at Marymount (over 500 more vintage vehicles).
EVENT LOCATION: 325 152nd ST E Tacoma, WA 98445
NOTE: Adults must accompany children – No drop offs! Children should be wearing costumes. Candy should be pre-packaged.
Host a Trunk
Calling all car owners and car clubs! Dress in costume, decorate your vehicle and come join the fun! Children trick-or-treat by going from trunk to trunk to receive pre-packaged candy from costumed car owners from 2-4pm. Trunk hosts should arrive early (set-up is from 12-2pm) to position their vehicles and set up their trunk decorations. Not interested in decorating your car, but want to join us and hand out candy? GREAT! Bring your candy and lawn chairs and we’ll position you in between the cars.
The best way to plan your trunk is to pick a decorating theme. (And don’t forget about a costume for yourself! You can dress to match your theme.) Some ideas: Decades – 50’s, 60’s, 70’s, 80’s, NASCAR, Harvest, Sports, Popular Kid’s Themes (Sesame Street, Dora the Explorer, etc.), Animals, Movies, Western, Camping Out, Christmas (or other holiday), Gone Fishing, Pirates, etc.
