The Marymount Event Center offers unique indoor and outdoor spaces for limitless event possibilities. The Marymount property is 80+ acres with several historic brick buildings, so the atmosphere is quiet and private, while still easily accessible, located less than 1/3 mile off Highway 7 in Tacoma, WA. For those who prefer the outdoors, Marymount also has lush, open fields and landscaping to complement its vintage architecture. The venue also boasts parking space to accommodate even the largest of events.
Hundreds of vintage vehicles from the LeMay Family Collection are housed on-site at Marymount - these vehicles can provide instant "atmosphere" to match your event theme (elegant, whimsical, nostalgic, etc.) and can provide photo opportunities and viewable entertainment for your event guests to enjoy. Social & Corporate Events
When you're planning a special event, it's important to choose a venue that will stand out as particularly unforgettable. The Marymount Event Center is just the place you've been looking for!The Marymount Event Center's largest indoor space, the Gymnasium, can easily seat up to 425 people for a traditionally elegant event or one-of-a-kind themed party. With its signature wooden barrel-vaulted ceiling and even cars on the original Gymnasium bleachers, this nearly 10,000 sq. ft. space can accommodate large corporate events, receptions, or private functions for a special experience! Use of this space allows easy access to the catering prep kitchen, and there is even an adjoining small childrens play area that may be used.
Adjacent to the Gymnasium is the Orphan Room, a unique space for banquets or more intimate events up to 80 people. This nearly 1,500 sq. ft. space also accommodates the "American Dream" display, where event guests have the neat photo opportunity to literally get behind the wheel of a red, vintage 1961 Cadillac!
The Dining Room can accommodate groups of up to 120 people and features delightful architectural arches and pillars which define the unique character of the space.
Weddings
Since you'll remember your wedding forever, it's important to carefully select your ceremony venueMarymount has a beautifully-decorated, private 1920's chapel on-site that is perfect for indoor wedding ceremonies. The historic Marymount chapel features a painted fresco ceiling by artist Theodore Brasch. The chapel's unique L-shape allows room for its two altars and two naves, where the primary nave features pew seating for up to 120 guests.
Another option: Let nature and architecture be the backdrop for your big day with an outdoor wedding ceremony!
Outdoor Car Shows, Swap Meets, or Picnics
We have several spacious, grassy lawns that are perfect for outdoor events, whether it’s a car show or a family reunion picnic. There is no shortage of parking space, so car clubs and other groups can accommodate hundreds of guests and hundreds of vehicles! Caterers
We have found that events run smoothly with Preferred caterers who consistently work at the Marymount Event Center. Plus, we know that they provide great service and can make the best mouth-watering meals! We will allow your choice of other non-Preferred licensed caterers subject to them meeting all health code requirements, obtaining approval by Event Center staff, and agreeing to an up-charge.
